Rage on the Stage 2009 - Evening Star Concert Hall
After a brief one year hiatus, Night-Life magazine is pleased to announce that Rage On The Stage is ready to roll. This year's battle of the bands event is being co-sponored by ALLWNYRADIO.COM and will be held at the Evening Star Concert Hall, 8810 Niagara Falls Blvd.., Niagara Falls, NY., every Thursday, from September 24th to December 17th.
All shows will begin at 8pm. All three bands will play a 45 minute set that must be mostly comprised of original music.
Each band will be judged by four criteria:
No.1 - Musicianship
No.2 - Stage Presence
No.3 - Originality
No.4 - Audience Participation
This is not a battle where bringing the most fans gets you an automatic win.
Rage On The Stage will run for 13 straight weeks with semi-final rounds taking place in weeks #4, #8, and #12. The Finals will take place on December 17,2009 with the three semi-final winners and a wild card entry based on judges point totals. The grand prize will be awarded at the Finals.
The first place winner will receive a recording package from Select Sound Recording Studio, 2315 Elmwood Ave. in Kenmore, NY (716-873-2717). The package consists of three days recording, editing, packaging, and production with a value of $2500.00. The CD will be sent out to major record labels, played on ALLWNYRADIO.COM and receive a feature story in Night-Life Magazine. Second place is a $1000.00 Gift Certificate from a local music store. And the third place winner will receive $500 in merchandise prizes.
Interested bands must be 18+ to play; sound and lights will be provided.
